I have been fortunate to be a Midwife for nearly 8 years and have cared for women, babies and their families in all areas of Maternity from pregnancy, childbirth and beyond. I have worked in both Public and Private Hospitals, with many years’ experience in community Midwifery, providing postnatal care and education to women & their families during the very important transition into their parenting journey in the comfort of their own homes.

Midwifery Interests

As a midwife, I believe all women should be cared for by a known midwife in a Continuity of Midwifery Care Model and I aim to provide care to women and their families that is high quality, professional & woman-centred through promotion of health and well-being throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond. I had some incredible, passionate midwives care for me through my own 3 births and this inspired me to change my career path many years ago to become a Midwife. Midwives are skilled health professionals, providing care & support for women and their families through a very important time in their lives, along with having specialised clinical skills to manage and collaborate when required.

Other interests

I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband who is truly my soulmate has always been my biggest supporter in my Midwifery journey and our 3 babies are now teenagers so we are well into our parenting journey! I enjoy camping near the beach with my family and friends and I also enjoy my weekly walks & laughs with my ladies walking club. I also like hiking the local bush trails and just enjoying nature when I can.
