I became a registered midwife in 2013 and began working as a Midwife on the move. This gave me experience working in all areas of Maternity Services including, Birth Suite, the postnatal ward, maternity outpatient’s department, in theatre as peri operative midwife and in the Obstetric review centre. During this time, I also worked at the North West Private Hospital in Birth Suite, where I was the primary career for the patient and collaborated with the healthcare team when required. After that I moved to a team of eight midwives, called Pegasus, which focuses on providing continuity of care for expectant mothers and their families. Here I gained further experience working with both low and high-risk pregnancies. Most recently I held a temporary position for 11 months in Midwifery Group Practice (Aurora 2). As a small team of midwives, we provided 24-hour continuity of care for patients that have less predictable outcomes. While working self-directed, I provided advance clinical assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of midwifery care in a range of settings for the patients in my care.
As a midwife and mother myself, I am passionate about providing continuity of care for women, their partners and family, that leave them feeling empowered and safe, while maintaining healthy relationships. I am big on self-love, breaking down barriers and enjoying your pregnancy journey and beyond. Every woman’s journey is unique, and we will be on that journey with you to guide and support you and your family when needed.
I am a mum of 6, my children are now 24, 21, 17-year-old twins, 14 and a 5-year-old, that keep me busy. I love sewing, crochet, reformer pilates and family adventures. We also have a spoodle (Larni) and groodle (Brodie-Rose) that we all love to cuddle and walk.
