Upon graduating in 2017 I commenced a graduate midwifery position at Werribee Mercy Hospital working throughout each area of maternity care and gaining skills and knowledge that I knew I would one day bring to private midwifery practice. In 2020 I worked at Sunshine Hospital, a tertiary maternity hospital where I learned about high-risk care and honed my midwifery skills while enhancing my knowledge on culturally appropriate care for women of countless different ethnic and religious backgrounds. In between these positions I travelled to London, England and Cairo, Egypt where I had the pleasure of working with new mothers and living in their homes, teaching them about breastfeeding and assisting in their fourth trimester.
I love every part of being a midwife, I can’t pick just one area! I am a huge advocate for continuity of care as watching someone navigate their pregnancy, birth and parenting journey and helping to guide them along the way has always felt like such an honour. I am so passionate about providing families with the opportunity to make informed, educated decisions about their care and supporting and empowering women in their choices. As a Lactation Consultant, I have special interests in extended breastfeeding and induced lactation.
I enjoy travelling, eating brunch with friends and spending time with my family.
