After completing my midwifery education in 2014, I worked as a registered midwife at Ipswich Hospital before joining the My Midwives family in 2018.
I have always been drawn to the dream of providing continuity of midwifery care. I feel incredibly privileged to hold space for women, helping to nurture them (and sometimes gently nudge) them to discover the right pathway for their pregnancy and birth. Knowledge is power!
I am also fascinated by the ways our bodies change and adapt in pregnancy and labour, and am a complete bodywork nerd. I’ve attended numerous workshops about how to help optimise the spaces in the pelvis as well as techniques to assist the baby through. I’m growing an impressive library of resources, and I also teach the active birth workshop in Toowoomba.
And because that’s not quite enough, this year (2022) I have begun a new pathway towards becoming an IBCLC.
When I’m not wearing my midwifery hat, I love to spend time with my Paint horses and my Labradors.
