Original midwifery training course completed at Ipswich Hospital in 1986.
Masters studies in midwifery at the University of Surrey in England.


I have worked in various midwifery roles in hospital and home settings in England and Australia since first qualifying as a midwife.

In recent years, I have combined this with additional experiences as a researcher on projects related to support for new parents, breast feeding, prevention of stillbirth, and women’s experiences of giving birth in Queensland.

Midwifery Interest

I believe that having a positive experiences during pregnancy, birth and after birth has long lasting effects for women, men, babies and ultimately society.

I am interested in every aspect of the midwife’s role and continue to learn more from women and families all the time.

Other Interest

Home and my family, listening to music, going to the theater, cooking for friends and entertaining, walking and seeing new places.
