This is the first of four workshops providing health care professionals with an opportunity to gain critical skills in enhanced midwifery practice. Participants will improve their professional skills and professional options.

Developing Technical Skills for Maternal Emergencies

Aim of workshop

To provide midwives and registered health professionals with advanced knowledge and skills for the successful facilitation of complications of the birth process. The workshop will be interactive, scenario-based and practical.

Content to include

Antepartum haemorrahage; pre-eclampsia, breech presentation; cord prolapse; shoulder dystocia, post-partum haemorrhage.

ANMC Competencies

Successful completion of this workshop will contribute to the midwives knowledge and meet the following ANMC competencies 1, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,13 & 14.
