Growing Rural Midwifery Capacity
The Department of Health has released their 7th edition of their Health Service & Clinical Innovation Division newsletter.
Found in this edition is a great article outlining the successes of the Rural Midwifery Education Program which is currently being facilitated by My Midwives and Griffith University.
The first group of students whom commenced in 2013 are coming up to their graduation in July this year. The students will have completed their Bachelor of Midwifery and become registered Midwives.
The aim of this program is to increase the midwifery capacity in rural and private practice continuity of care models.
