I have worked in a variety of settings throughout Australia, including rural, remote, metropolitan and tertiary services, both as a midwife and a nurse. I have experience in clinical facilitation and lecturing for midwifery students and for the past five years I have been engaged in models of midwifery care that are relationship based, primarily midwifery group practice on the Gold Coast. Having recently relocated to Perth, I am keen to continue working in partnership with women and their families

Midwifery Interest

I believe that how a baby is born is important, both at an individual and societal level. I find the greatest satisfaction in working with women across the full scope of midwifery practice and I am especially passionate about a woman’s right to be recognized and treated as an individual, having her own unique experience. I believe that relationship-based midwifery models of care achieve the best outcomes for women and families.

Other Interests

I have two beautiful teenage children and a fabulous husband and life-partner who remind me of the importance of family. I love spending time with them at home and travelling. I love animals and have over the years been a keen horserider. I am enjoying living close to the beautiful Perth beaches and getting to be a part of the great music scene here.
