Midwife

Education

  • Bachelor of Nursing & Bachelor of Midwifery, University of Queensland, 2014.
  • Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education & Management, Southern Cross University, 2017.
  • Currently undertaking Prescribing for Midwives, Griffith University, 2018.

Experience

After completing my midwifery education, I worked as a registered midwife in Ipswich hospital across all areas of the midwifery continuum – from antenatal, to birth suite, postnatal and back again! I also have experience with gestational diabetes.

Midwifery Interest

I have always been drawn to the dream of one-on-one midwifery care. I feel incredibly privileged to hold space for women in my care, especially in the antenatal and birthing periods, and to support her transition into motherhood and family life.

Other Interest

When I am not wearing my midwife hat, I can be found playing ponies with my three horses, playing online games with my husband, or pretending I can crochet anything other than a lopsided granny square!
