Experience

I have spent many years working in tertiary and secondary hospitals across the scope of midwifery, inclusive of service planning, abortion and contraception, and continuity of care models. In a previous life, I worked in laboratory medicine and so interpreting results to an individual and holistic level is something that I am passionate about.

I started with My Midwives in 2018; and took a break from 2021 until recently to have my own family. I am excited to be back working in a person centred care model with parents during their pregnancies. I also currently work as a Research Midwife across various studies in Women's & Children’s health in public hospitals in Melbourne.

Midwifery Interest

I believe in your body, your baby, your choices. I believe in birth. Parenthood can be transformative & wonderful with the right support, and this starts in pregnancy. I believe in informed choices throughout our reproductive journeys. Relationship-based maternity care is the safest model there is, and should be inclusive of everyone. Research & evidence undermines my practice in a compassionate, educational and holistic way.

I have special interests in infertility and challenging reproductive journeys including pregnancy after loss. I have extra training in gendered violence & trauma awareness in midwifery care.

Personal Interest

Talk to me about podcasts, vinyl, politics, or your latest TV series binge. On days off, you can find me and my little family (a My Midwives baby!) grabbing a coffee with friends, getting treats from the local market, and seeking out joy on the swings at the park.
