I have worked at North West Private Hospital in Brisbane since graduating and have enjoyed working in all areas of the maternity unit, providing support and care to women and their families during their birth journey.

I have always been fascinated by birth however the home birth of my third baby really lit the fire inside me to become a midwife and use evidence to support women to make decisions throughout their birthing experience.

Midwifery interests

The incredible support of my midwife during my pregnancy and home birth really brought home to me that women should have the choice of where and how they wish to give birth. I believe a continuity of midwifery care relationship, based on mutual trust and respect, provides a woman with the ability to draw on her inner strength and trust in her ability to birth her baby. I love caring for women and their families during this very special time in their lives.

Other Interest

I love spending time with my husband and family. I also enjoy going camping, travelling overseas and like to spend time pottering around in the garden.
