Experience

I have been a registered midwife since 2024, and joined My Midwives in April 2025. I spent my first year of practice at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in the graduate midwifery program and have worked across all areas of maternity including in the special care nursery. I have completed postgraduate studies in prescribing and I expect to have fulfilled my 5000 clinical hours to become endorsed by early 2027.

Prior to midwifery, I was a prenatal massage therapist for six years and I also spent a short time as a prenatal yoga instructor. I was fortunate to be invited to support some clients in labour before I became a midwife, including at a beautiful home VBAC of a long-term client whose baby was birthed into the water and we all cried happy tears together when he emerged!

‍I love supporting women through continuity of midwifery care to enjoy fulfilling and enriching experiences of pregnancy, labour, birth and early parenthood.

Midwifery Interest

Bodywork

I love supporting women to listen to their body and to their baby in pregnancy, labour and postpartum.

I offer hands on support and education for physical birth preparation, creating space for babies who may not be in an ideal position for birth, and general comfort in pregnancy.

I have been attending Spinning Babies workshops regularly since 2018 and in 2025 I became an accredited Spinning Babies Aware Practitioner. This training helped me to understand how to approach pregnancy and birth using the philosophy of “physiology before force” - nurturing your body to support the strengths you already have.

Connection

I came to My Midwives because my midwifery practice is fueled by the connections formed through partnership with women in this model of care. I love getting to know my clients and supporting them to feel confident, safe and informed in their maternity experiences.

Advocacy

I wish that every expecting parent had access to a known midwife for their maternity care – for the best possible outcomes physically, emotionally and socially. I do what I can to advocate for change in this area through involvement with the Australian College of Midwives as the Qld Branch secretary.

Personal Interest

I love spending time with my two kids, singing, being inspired by live music and festivals (especially with my family), making things with clay, crochet, and practising my Italian. Fur babies make me happy, especially our own good-boy Rufus the Kelpie cross, and cuddling with the cat or chooks when they let me.
