Experience
I am originally from the Blue Mountains NSW and spent the first six years of my midwifery career working within NSW Health. During this time, I worked as a rotational midwife across birthing units, postnatal and antenatal wards, as well as in community-based roles, including Midwifery at Home and Birth Centre teams. However, much of my career has been dedicated to working alongside women within Midwifery Group Practice and continuity models, where I discovered my passion for continuity of care. When my partner and I decided to make the move to Queensland, I knew that My Midwives was the perfect fit!
Midwifery Interest
My passion is centred around continuity of midwifery care, where women and families are supported by a known midwife throughout pregnancy, birth, and the early parenting journey. I believe this model represents the gold standard of maternity care and should be accessible to all women. Having witnessed first hand the profound benefits for both women and midwives, I am continually inspired by the strength and confidence that emerges when women feel respected, heard, and trusted in their own choices. I feel deeply privileged to walk alongside women and their families during this pivotal life moment; supporting and empowering them to make informed decisions that are right for them and their individual journey.
Personal Interest
Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my wonderful partner, family, and amazing friends — including my beautiful dog and cat, Poppy & Juno. You’ll find me at my happiest soaking up live music at a festival or going for an ocean dip in the sunshine with my nearest and dearest. I also love unwinding with a good book, cosy nights snuggled up with the pets and a great TV series, or challenging myself with a reformer Pilates class. My newest creative venture is knitting, with the hopes of producing at least one wearable item in the near future!
