Experience
I began my nursing career at the Mater Private Hospital in Townsville, where I gained a strong foundation in patient care. In 2020, I relocated to South East Queensland to pursue new opportunities, which led me to North West Private Hospital. Most recently, I have been supporting women and families through their maternity journeys at Buderim Private Hospital, where I worked until 2025. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to professional development and evidence-based practice, ensuring that my care is always informed by the latest research and best practices in maternity care. My focus has consistently been on building trusting relationships with women and families, empowering them through education and compassionate support to make informed decisions about their care.
Midwifery Interest
For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a midwife. I feel so lucky to finally be working in this space supporting women and their families. I am deeply passionate about providing continuity of care that supports women physically, emotionally, and mentally throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. I believe that every woman deserves to be heard, respected, and empowered to make informed choices about their care. My approach is centred on building trusting relationships, creating a safe and calm environment, and promoting informed choices. I am currently studying a Graduate Certificate in Primary Maternity Care at Griffith University, further deepening my commitment to best-practice, woman-centred care.
Personal Interest
When I’m not working, I’m most at home spending quality time with my family. I’m a proud mum of three beautiful children, and being a parent myself has deepened my understanding and empathy for the families I care for. Outside of family life, I have a lifelong passion for horse riding. Being around horses gives me a sense of calm, connection, and freedom, and it's something I’ve cherished since I was young. I find that spending time outdoors—whether riding, walking, or simply enjoying nature—helps me recharge and stay grounded. I also love learning and am always looking for new ways to grow, both professionally and personally. Whether it’s keeping up with the latest in maternity care or exploring ways to support mental and emotional wellbeing, I believe that ongoing growth allows me to be the best version of myself—for my family, my clients, and my community. I bring this sense of balance, curiosity, and compassion into every aspect of my midwifery care.
